She is a Co-Founder of the bank. She holds a B.Sc in Mathematics and M.Sc in Banking and Finance.
She is a development practitioner and a resource person in finance workshops seminars and conferences.
She is a certified Microfinance Banker and alumnus of the prestigious Institute of Microfinance Centre (BOULDER MICROFINANCE TRAINING) Italy. She also holds a certificate in Microenterprise and Development Institute, Southern New Hampshire University, USA.
She served as the pioneer Managing Director for several years and stepped down in compliance with CBN policy on tenure with regard to the position of Managing director of the bank. She is also the pioneer chairman of the Association of Microfinance Banks Delta State chapter and the first vice chairman, of the South-South chapter of the Association of Microfinance Banks.
She has attended several trainings, courses, and seminars both locally and overseas on Micro financing and Business management.
Wetland Micro Finance Bank has a very robust and focused management team, headed by a Managing Director. The team is responsible for the day-to-day administration and execution of the Board of Director’s resolutions.
An astute banker with over 15 years experience in grassroots development financing. He started his banking career at Citigate Microfinance Lagos, in 2008, where he had a two-year stint, after which he joined Addossar Microfinance Bank Ltd., Lagos in 2010, where he spent five years, before joining Wetland Microfinance Bank in 2015.
He holds a Higher National Diploma in Marketing, from Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and a Certified Microfinance Banker, with a Master's in Banking and Finance (in view) from the University of Benin.
He has attended several trainings in the course of his banking journey, amongst which are Corporate Governance in Financial Institutions, Fraud Prevention Management, Managing Microfinance Institutions (MFI), Microfinance, and Enterprise Management just to mention a few.
His experience cuts across Marketing, Internal Control and Audit, Risk Management, Business Development, etc. He is married with children.
He is a graduate of the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. He graduated in 1992 with a B. A (Hons) in Religious Studies. He has acquired over 16 years working experience.
Prior to joining Wetland microfinance bank as a Human Resources manager in 2009, he worked with O-Secul Nigeria Limited, Isoken Group, and Funtola Nigeria Limited as an Administrative and Group Personnel Manager respectively.
He has attended various courses with vast experience in Human Resources, and Human Capital Development which includes; Corporate Governance in Financial Institution training (Lagos). He is a certified microfinance Banker (MCB).
Oruma Desmond joined the organization in 2013 as a Graduate Trainee. He is a graduate of the University of Port Harcourt and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics and Communication Studies. He rose within the ranks firstly as a Credit /Marketing Officer, Customer Service Officer, Head of Operations, and Branch Manager.
He has attended various trainings and courses in Banking and affiliates institutions. He is a Certified Microfinance Banker. (MCP).
He is currently a Deputy General Manager (DGM) in charge of the Western Operations of the organization. He is an ardent lover of sports (football).
She holds a B.Sc in Industrial Mathematics from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the same university. She also holds a Microfinance certified program certificate of CIBN. She joined the bank in 2008. She is a certified Microfinance Banker. She has attended several courses both Locally and overseas which Include, Microfinance Operations and Regulations by the West African Institute for Financial & Economic Management (WAIFEM) THE GAMBIA.
Prior to joining the bank in 2005, she worked in many companies. She was employed as Account Officer and rose within the ranks. She held various positions within the period namely, Head of Operations, Branch Manager, and Senior Audit Officer. She was promoted to her current position in 2020. She has attended various in-house and external human capital development training, ranging from general, intermediate, and management courses. She is a Certified Microfinance Banker (MCP). She is married with children, a lover of music, and has put in 18 years of meritorious services in the organization's service.
